How do I calculate my total investment?
How do I calculate the current value of my Portfolio?
How do I calculate my Portfolio Performance?
After logging in, click Analyze My Portfolio.
fabulosus.com's Mutual Funds Manager allows you to
calculate the Total Investment (the money you spent to
buy shares less the money you received from selling shares),
the Current Value (Number of Shares owned times
the Current Share Price), and the Performance
of your Portfolio (the ratio, expressed in percentage, between
Current Value and Total Investment).
As an example, to calculate the Total Investment
of your entire Portfolio, select All Funds from
Your Funds List and click the Select funds & continue
button (See figure below).
You could also analyze only selected funds. In this case, click on
the fund's name, hold the 'Ctrl' key and click on any additional
fund you wish to analyze and click Select funds & continue.
You should now be able to see the list of the selected
funds (See figure below).
Next to each fund is the total number of shares you own. The last
column shows a default Current Share Price of $10 for all funds.
If you are only interested in knowing your Total Investment,
leave the default value and click the 'calculator' button.
If you also want to know the current value and the performance
of your portfolio, replace the default value with the actual
current share price of each fund. Then, click the 'calculator'
button.
Note: you can find the current share price of your Mutual
Funds either in the web site of the relative fund or in the latest
Account Summary usually sent quarterly by your Mutual Fund
investment institution.
The figure below shows an example of a Portfolio Analysis.
